Tampa Sees Peak Water Levels, Tarpon Springs Streets Flooded
A strengthening low pressure system that moved across Florida over the weekend has brought heavy rains and flooding to the state. As of 6:04 AM EST on December 17, Tampa has observed peak water levels, while Dodecanese Blvd in Tarpon Springs remains flooded.
Rainfall rates are expected to remain low enough to limit flash flooding, however, hours of steady rainfall could lead to additional flooding. The storm is expected to continue to weaken as it moves further inland.
