Hundreds of Thousands of Travelers Affected by Sudden Closure

Munich, June 3, 2024 - FTI Touristik GmbH, the parent company of Europe's third largest tour operator, FTI Group, filed for insolvency in the Munich regional court on Monday, June 3, 2024. This sudden closure has left hundreds of thousands of travelers stranded worldwide, with trips that haven't yet started being canceled.

In a statement, FTI Group CEO Ralph Schiller expressed deep regret for the inconvenience and upset this will cause to customers and partners. He emphasized that the company had been working hard to avoid this situation, but that the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic had ultimately forced their hand.
