Phoenix Suns injury report: Allen leaves Game 2 with right ankle worry
Guard appeared to reaggravate injury in loss at T-Wolves
Allen was hurt in the second half of the second game of the first-round playoff series against Minnesota.
Phoenix guard Grayson Allen exited Game 2 of a first-round series at Minnesota on Tuesday after appearing to aggravate the sprained right ankle he sustained in Game 1.
Allen was injured midway through the second quarter when he landed awkwardly on Minnesota big man Rudy Gobert's foot while attempting a 3-pointer.
Allen stayed in the game and hit a 3-pointer to close out the half, but he did not return for the second half.
The Suns went on to lose 123-94, falling into a 2-0 hole in the best-of-seven series.
After the game, Suns coach Monty Williams said that Allen was "day-to-day" with the ankle injury.
If Allen is unable to play in Game 3 on Thursday, the Suns will be without one of their best perimeter defenders.
Allen started all 82 games for the Suns this season, averaging 10.9 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game.
